Thank you for your interest. The information and materials contained on this website will guide you through the application process.   In addition, you are strongly encouraged to meet with the Director of Admissions and the Principal. Kindly call the school to make an appointment.

There are two application cycles; each follows an Open House.

There will be a Fall Open House on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 11:30 - 1:00 pm. for prospective families interested in grades K-8. Registration is 11:30 am; the program begins at 11:45am. For information contact Admissions at (203) 966-0786 ext 109. The application process subsequent to the October Open House is offered for early admission decision

Please refer to the Admissions Calendar for the Academic Year 2016-2017 . It is designed to provide the best possible opportunity for the applicant and the applicant’s family to become familiar with St. Aloysius School.

The Spring Open House will be January 31, 2016 and will follow the above time schedule.

The general process of applying begins with the submission of the two application forms and an application fee (refer to the Documentation and Fee Schedule), and a meeting with the Director of Admissions and the Principal. Prospective families receive a tour of the school.  Once the application forms, the application fee, and transcripts (for grades one through eight) are received you will be contacted to schedule your child’s screening or visiting day and entrance exam.

The details of applying to St. Aloysius School vary depending on the grade level.

Early Decision

Applications for kindergarten early admission decision must be submitted by November 2, 2015.
Applications for grades 1 - 8 early admission decision must be submitted by November 2, 2015.

Screenings for kindergarten early admission will be conducted on various days starting November 2, 2015 through mid-January 2016.
Visiting days and entrance exams for grades 1-8 early admission decision will be conducted during November 2015 through January 2016.


General Admission

General Admission applications are due by February 8, 2016 for all grades.

Kindergarten screenings will be February 8-12, 2016.
Visiting days and entrance exams for grades 1-8 will be mid-February through mid-March 2016.


Admission Open House

The Open Houses are an event for the entire family. It is an important experience for the applicant child to visit the classroom and meet the teacher. Open House presentations include an overview of admissions and the application process, an overview of the academic program for kindergarten through grade 8 including a discussion of the curriculum and values-based standards characteristic of a St. Aloysius School education. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet St. Aloysius School faculty, administration and students.

All tours are conducted by St. A's parents and students.


Admission Decision Notification

Early Admission Decision letters are mailed late January 2016
General Admission Decision letters are mailed mid-March 2016.

Enrollment Contracts

All enrollment contracts are due March 23, 2016.

As part of the enrollment process, families are to enroll online with FACTS, the school’s financial management system.  Please see below:
